Guided snowshoe trip on Tromsøya
A great way to start your day!
Join us for a short snow-shoeing trip in easy terrain. This tour is designed for people with little experience and for those who have never tried snowshoeing. It is also perfect for families with kids from 8 years and older.
After a short drive to the top of the Tromsø island, your guide will teach you how to put on and use snowshoes before your small group heads off into the forest through flat and slightly hilly terrain. There will be stops for photos of the surrounding landscapes, and for your guide to tell you about our beautiful city and the arctic environment. We will take a break to refuel with some hot drinks and lefse (a delicious local snack).
Looking for more time snowshoeing, but something that is still easygoing? Try our Guided easy snowshoeing with a visit to a local café. This tour is based on Kvaløya and includes a stop for coffee and cake at a local waterfront cafe.
As the weather can change rapidly in Northern Norway, you must wear warm and windproof clothes to join the tour. Clothing is not included in the price of the trip. Suitable clothing can be rented separately at our rental centre with prior arrangements.
From mid-February onwards, we recommend bringing sunglasses and sunblock. The sun can be surprisingly intense due to the reflection from the snow.
